Profile
Character Name ɸ Perceptor
Character Canon ɸ IDW's Transformers
Character Timeline ɸ Post Lost Light
Extra Details (a brief description of your AU, game, etc) ɸ Perceptor is called by many the "smartest Cybertronian alive," and while he does have some conceit about his intelligence and skills, he's mainly focused on the Science. He did a lot of things he was not proud of during the four million years of war (amazing, awe-inspiring, and terribly unethical things), but rationalized it was for the good of the Autobots and winning the war. He was a bit naive due to how isolated from the frontlines he had been until he had to join the Wreckers to keep Kup level. Then he suffered some trauma from a severe injury that left him feeling very helpless and out of control, so he decided to remake himself into an expert sniper to feel like he was contributing more and could be more relevant on the frontlines. He felt this was his debt to pay for being saved. He shut down a lot of his emotions and personality in this search for control. It wasn't until the war was over that he was offered the Chief Science Officer position on the Lost Light and took it, not really knowing what to do with himself besides defaulting back to what he knows well: Science. Being a member of the Lost Light's crew did help him regain some of what he'd lost in himself, especially how he worked through his emotions instead of shutting them away, and in the end, he didn't want to give that up. He took part in the "experiment" that would lead to a second Lost Light being created and sent into alternate universe where they didn't exist and thus would not create a paradox. Unfortunately, they would still have the original version and crew left behind who would never know if this experiment succeeded. He would live the rest of his life with that question.
